THE BRUNCH SERIES - GLORIA

Shoreditch is the cool spot to hang out in, and Big Mamma got the memo, because they're the new resident.

If you don't know the Big Mamma Group is a chain of Italian restaurants, based in Paris, founded by two French guys who wanted to create a new concept of Italian restaurants. They have eight locations in Paris and despite living less than two hours away my whole life I've never been there.
I knew they were opening in London, so last Sunday I booked a table and wanted to know what it was all about.

Definitely the kind of restaurant where the atmosphere, the decor, the staff matters just as much as the food, everyone is very lovely (and Italian). To my surprise, the food is actually not overpriced, which is always good news when you go out for brunch in London. The portions are big and the tiramisu is to die for.

I would highly recommend going there, if you want to have the pasta or pizza, you have to go after 11.30 AM. Also, make sure you are wearing your stretchy trousers because you will be very full when you get out of there. Don't forget your camera either because it's a great place to take some very Instagrammable shots. The entire staff is Italian, so do not hesitate to take a quick look at your middle school copybooks to re-learn your Italian basics. If you have all of that, I think you're all set for a great time at Gloria.
